I remember the first time I used a Polaroid camera, I was about 6 and I took my older sister's camera from her room. I wasted nearly an entire roll of film on a photoshoot of my stuffed animals. I remember her catching me using it and getting SO mad -- I didn't understand why, to my 6 year old self the pictures were awesome. There was something magical about shaking the photo and watching an image slowly emerge. 15 years later I still feel the same.
I recently purchased a FijiFilm Instax Printer and simply I love it. The printer connects to a smartphone through wifi and you can wirelessly print any photo from your phone to these adorable mini prints. The film is quite expensive (I now fully understand why my sister got so mad at me when I wasted her Polaroid film many years ago..sorry Jess!). It ends up costing about a dollar a photo, but in my opinion it is so worth it!
In addition to printing the cutest little shots, it's easy to use! All you need to do is download the Instax app and choose a photo!
They aren't joking when they say "instant photos". Only takes about 5 seconds to print! My favorite part about this printer is that I never have to worry about accidentally printing a bad shot and wasting film. The photos are instantly tangible and gratifying and they have the dreamy look of a Polaroid without the hassle of carrying an additional camera with me. Any photo I take on my phone or even my GoPro can be printed and in my hand momentarily. It is so fun to use and every picture looks better on film.
